cleaning ups streets
Hi, I was wondering who else would like to see more council staff around the streets cleaning out blocked gutters/drains before winter? I have noticed on my walks that a lot of gutters are full of over grown weeds which in turn block the drains so when it rains this causes flooding. wouldn't it be better to start now instead of waiting for winter?

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?
Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.
This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.
