Abbeyfield WBoP Inc. Online Art Auction Update

Natasja de Graaf from Abbeyfield Western Bay of Plenty Inc.

Hello everyone. We have sold 5 paintings on Trade Me Online Art Auction. This was our first time fundraising online and certainly was a fantastic start. Thank you to the people who have purchased paintings and for supporting us.
With the build up to Christmas, people catching up with friends and families, we have decided not to list more paintings until the first week of January 2022. From the Abbeyfield Fundraising Team we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Vandalism is costing ratepayers - what can be done to better protect our public spaces?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Vandals have repeatedly damaged public amenities across the Waikato District, leaving ratepayers to pick up the bill. So far in 2025, the cost has climbed to nearly $123,000, reports the Waikato Times.

The council is urging residents to report vandalism as soon as possible.
If you witness vandalism in progress, please contact the police immediately.

We want to know: Do you have ideas on how we can better protect our public spaces?
