Eastview Low Traffic Area update
The Eastview Glen Innes low traffic area project is now at the halfway point, and while it has taken time to find the right balance of installation, number and size and location of boxes, accessible signage and the like, the format is now pretty much set. Now is a good time to consider how the changes have affected traffic speeds and safety in the neighbourhood.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
