Book Discussion Group formation and invite
We are a group of three recent arrivals to the great city of Hamilton and would like to form a book discussion group under the auspices of the New Zealand Book Discussion Service ( BDS ). So far we have four people interested and would like the group to be around 8 to 10 in size.
If you need to know more, please go to www.bds.org.nz... to find out more about this wonderful service and it’s protocols for operating a book group in our community.
If you would like to be in this new Hamilton based group please send me something about yourself, your interests, book group experience and you contact details.
We are happy to coordinate the group set up and facilitate the first meeting and take it from there
Regards
Graeme Ludemann

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
