Vehicle Repairs

Lorraine from Nawton

I was contacted by text message by a Mike Hughes who is on here here who said he was from A1 Auto repairs. He said he would fix my car and I was given a bank act number with his name and the name of the business as a reference. He told me he would be driving a white and red Auto repairs ute. I transferred what to me is a large sum of money but is not large by most peoples standards and have not heard ant more from him. He asked for the money to be paid so he knew that the cost of the part had been paid. This job was supposed to have been done today. The money won't be banked into his act until Tuesday but it has already been taken from my act by the bank I have looked up the business and there does not seem to be a branch in Hamilton, There is an A1 Automotovive in Auckland but I don't know if they are the same business.
Does anyone have any ideas on this as I feel i have been scammed out of my money and now cannot get my car fixed.
If anyone knows if this is a legitimate business could they please message me on 0297709474

Did you submit on the city council's long-term plan?

The Team Reporter from Hamilton Press

Hamiltonians have spoken out on the council’s budget plans with the city’s massive proposed rates hike a lightning rod for residents already struggling with rising costs.

With more than 3000 submissions landing on the Hamilton City Council’s Draft Long Term Plan the hot topic is unsurprisingly the proposed 19.9% rise, which itself lands in a cost of living crisis and limping economy.
