A Pitcher Plant
About 3 years ago I bought a Pitcher plant. It had just 3 leaves then. (See photo) It seemed happy on my kitchen bench and quickly multiplied its sticky traps and added a fascinating flower. (second photo )But there was no stopping it. It became very crowded with increasing numbers of both new and withering leaves so that it was no longer very interesting as a subject for photography. But a larger and beautiful leaf has appeared and I couldn't resist the temptation. I had to bind other leaves together, and pull them out of the way by tying the string to a couple of chairs. (3rd photo) It is now recovered and back to its crowded normal.
