Seatoun historic calendar 2021

Suzanne from Seatoun

Hi. It's Seatoun School's centenary next year and to celebrate the school is selling a historical calendar. Money raised will fund a Snakes and Ladders playground for the community. The calendar features 14 fantastic old photos of Seatoun and Worser Bay from the National Archives and Wellington City Archives collections. Calendars are just $15 and can be purchased from the Seatoun School office. These would make great Christmas gifts and a wonderful conversation piece all year round.

FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles

Michael from Newtown

Merry Christmas -

I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.

Best wishes - Michael

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
