Dog Bite
Hi all,
My 9 year old daughter was bitten by a large brown dog yesterday 17th Sep around 3.30pm on Wayne Francis Drive. The dog attacked her unprovoked, bit her on legs, hands and chest. Luckily the wounds were not too deep and she is fine. However, she was quite shaken and very scared. Police took our statements but the problem is that we don't know whose dog it was or where it came from.
I believe a lady took pictures of the dog. If you have any information about this incident, please get in touch with me on 021 213 3139.
Please look after your children and pets too. Keep them on leash while walking around the neighbourhood.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
