Donate A Kate
Kia ora AWC whānau: we’re excited to launch our “Donate A Kate” campaign, in time for Suffrage Day, this coming Saturday Sept 19!
Your $10 bills (starring Kate Sheppard) support our work for universal equity, safety & empowerment; zero discrimination; and upholding te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Your Kates will help cover our 2020 funding shortfall, due to the COVID cancellation of “Feminists Are Funny”. But never fear, Michele is still here! Listen to AWC’s most beloved comedian, Michele A’Court, and be a great mate of Kate’s, and Donate A Kate (or two or ten) #DonateAKate givealittle.co.nz...
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
