Clothing items left at food pantry.

Katherine from Mount Wellington

Someone has left a substantial amount of clothing items at the revolving pantry. With the rain etc it will deteriorate I will pick up what is left tomorrow night and throw away or put anything usable in the wash before taking it up to the Dove shop.
Please this is not the place to leave such items, thanks
Unfortunately I was not in a position to get the clothes out of the elements tonight, but I will try tomorrow evening when I'm back in town. Hopefully they will still be able to be washed and passed on.
We have a revolving pantry outside Sylvia Park school The pantry is at approximately 19 Hamlin Rd, it's visual from the road. Take what you need give what you can.
Food donations greatly appreciated.
Please check the expiry dates, no partially used food or food that needs refrigerating.
💐THANKS💐
Someone asked what is useful for meals? My pantry has salt, sugar, flour, rolled oats, rice or pasta, milk powder, dried beans, vegetables & fruit. Tinned tomatoes, veges, fruit, beans, sardines/tuna, tinned meat, soup. These are all basics that can quickly be turned into a low cost meal. I have a friend who brings in the sauce sachets from takeaway places those are alway helpful for flavour. I bake but that's not an option for a lot of families and whose kid doesn't love lunch box fillers. If you have that "but you liked it last week" purchase sitting unused in your pantry pass it on along with Fruit from your trees Washing powder, toilet paper and dish liquid are also useful additions to any household.

Poll: Does the building consent process need to change?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

We definitely need homes that are fit to live in but there are often frustrations when it comes to getting consent to modify your own home.
Do you think changes need made to the current process for building consent? Share your thoughts below.

Original Art on Baseball Caps / Hats

Connie from Remuera

Hello everyone,

I am presenting a limited release of hand-painted artwork on Baseball Caps. There will only be 29 caps in this range. For now, please do have a look at the first seven Caps attached. I will post more in the future as I work on them.

Price per piece = $55.00.
Fabric look/feel is suede-like (not real suede). It is a really nice quality cap. You can zoom out each photo to view better.
Adjustable backstrap with metal clasp.
NOTE: Some Caps have more than one photo to give you views from different sides (I can send you more photos if required).

Mother's Day is just two weeks away. This would make a really memorable yet practical gift for that special person. OR...get it for yourself! Just know that when you are wearing it to brunch, on your walks or at tennis/golf, YOU are the only person in the world with this original piece of wearable art ☺️.

Pickup in Remuera or happy to courier:
P&p $16.00 (with signature)
Rural addresses +$5.50.
If you want it sent overseas, I am happy to quote.

For the remaining Caps that I will be painting, if you have any suggestions that you would like to see, or if you would like to order a cap with a particular bird/flower et , I am happy to consider. No portraits please! That would be too hard on fabric 😅.

Have a lovely weekend,
Connie.
PS. I apologise for the low photo resolution as I had to resize them down to be able to post.
