GET YOUR HOUSE PAINTED FOR $500 & HELP SUPPORT TE OMANGA HOSPICE

Alfred from Petone

Te Omanga Hospice has had to cancel one of their main annual fund raising activities due to the lock down and with their op shops also closed, I'd imagine they will have a massive hole in their fundraising bucket. We are all quite focused on Covid 19 but let’s try not to forget about charities such as theirs. Whilst we're at home, they carry on as per normal, continuing to provide an amazing service but under even greater pressure.

Despite the gallery being closed, fortunately I can still paint in my bubble studio. Please help keep me busy and out of trouble and together we can help support the Hospice.

Payment from the next commission received will be donated straight to Te Omanga Hospice then $100 from each of the next five commissions received thereafter.

Painting Size 36cm x 26cm
Framed in modern white, size 53cm x 43cm (see photo)

If you would like to take up this offer, please email through an image of your house or scene you'd like painted to alfred@memelink.co.nz I'll call you by phone to discuss some ideas/compositions and get a feel for what you'd like, I'll then prepare a couple of thumbnail sketches for you to approve before I start painting.

The painting shown is of a cute little original Petone villa, No 8 Queen Street. It was my first home, purchased way back in 1987 with a Post Office, Home Ownership Account. It's now time to let someone else love and do their magic with it. It's sad to say goodbye, so I've painted myself a farewell gift to remember her by. I enjoyed the process so much, I wondered if others might like their own house immortalized as a painting.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
