In home childcare for essential workers

Che Salesa from Glendowie OSCARS

Did you know that if you are an essential worker and are struggling with child care in your own bubble, then you can access the in-home childcare for COVID-19 essential workers service.

The service is fully funded for the period of the lockdown.
There are two services: under 5 year olds and 5-14 year olds.
To make sure your family bubble is protected, the carers will only be delivering child care services to one family for the duration of lockdown.

If you know an essential worker that requires in home childcare so that they can work, please let them know about this service

If you are an essential worker and have a child aged 5-14 and you do not have available child care, then you can contact glendowie OSCARS by email: info@oscars.co.nz to discuss this in more detail

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
