Keep RNZ Concert on FM and retain their presenters!
Moving RNZ Concert to AM bands and letting its knowledgable presenters go will be a death blow to the high quality classical and jazz station so many of us in New Zealand enjoy on a daily basis.
The presenters on RNZ Concert are world class, and provide a broad and interesting array of music and musical insight to thousands of listeners every day.
RNZ Concert is the gem of Radio New Zealand, and one of the best of its kind in the world.
While Concert FM is the only station in the country playing jazz and classical music with presenters of such high calibre, there are dozens of stations providing the content the RNZ board wants to replace it with.
"While RNZ is doing really well, we just don't have enough connection with younger New Zealanders" (RNZ CE Paul Thompson)
Canceling Concert FM will ruin your connection with the rest of the New Zealand demographic, and will have a catastrophic effect on the New Zealand arts and music community at large.
A national radio broadcaster without a proper classical music channel is a disgrace, and will not satisfy your charter to "reflect ...artistic diversity..." and
• provide programmes which balance special interest with those of wide appeal, recognising the interests of all age groups
We ask that you leave RNZ Concert and its presenters on the air.
