Need some help to find somewhere to live!

Cadi from Heretaunga

Hi everyone! My name is Cadi, and I am looking for somewhere to park a campervan or caravan, or at least somewhere to stay (will pay obviously). Please see all details below.

I have been evicted because the landlords want to renovate (or, as I have seen happen far too often lately, as an excuse to replace me as I am paying well below market rates and they can rent it out to new tenants for a lot more… never mind that it has been my home for 6 years). Rentals are extremely expensive now and nearly impossible to find with a dog.

I have a 10-year-old dog named Pepper that has been with me since she was a puppy. She is an American Bulldog x Greyhound (Odd mix I know but she is gorgeous and has most people wrapped around her little finger) She is chipped and registered and vaccinated etc. Unfortunately, she loves hoomans but hecking dislikes other doggos.

I have great references and Pepper even has her own references!

I work full time in Lower Hutt as an executive assistant.

I have looked at buying, but just can’t quite get enough by myself.

If I looked to move into an existing home, I would need someone with a fenced yard, no pets already there, and that doesn't mind dogs.

I have given up trying to find a rental, I can’t afford it even working full time, so if anybody could use a little extra cash, and has a big yard, industrial yard, or any other land etc that I could park something in it would be awesome, I could even fence a little corner off around it for Pepper…

Also, I am an ex-mechanic, so if there was a space I could store my workshop tools equipment it would give you a personal onsite mechanic😊

There are freedom camping spots, but I would have to leave pepper locked up inside all day while I am at work☹

Another option would be if there was anyone else out there in a similar position, to purchase something together (with proper legal agreements etc).

I am really getting scared as I am running out of time and ideas!

If anyone can help me or has any questions, please call or email me!

Poll: Would you want an unconventional funeral?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Funerals can cost as much as $22,000 and the planning can be stressful especially at a time when loved ones are grieving. Some New Zealanders are re-imagining funerals by making their own coffin or having a relaxed ceremony at home. Would you want a less traditional funeral? Share your thoughts below.

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the Conversations column of your local paper.
