Are you passionate about helping your community, changing people's lives and looking to develop your governance experience?
Wellington RDA is a charity that provides horse riding therapy and therapeutic horse related programmes to people with disabilities. We cater for individuals of all ages with intellectual and physical disabilities, serving clients from Wellington City to Kapiti six days a week. We have 95 riders and 10 horses and have 6 qualified coaches to run weekly sessions. We have a strong base of 78 volunteers who undertake a variety of activities including helping with rides, maintaining grounds, administration support and governance. Our ride premises are based at Battle Hill, Pauatahanui and are excited to have just completed the construction of our brand new indoor riding arena which will allow us to offer sessions in wet weather and provide the wider community with state of the art riding facilities.
We are looking for committee members for our governance board. If you would like to find out more please email wellingtonrda@extra.co.nz or view our website: wellingtonrda.org.nz.
