Ever since the lamented demise of Palmy's community paper The Tribune last year, friends and acquaintances have said how much they missed the publication and its curated coverage of community stories.
A feature that seemed to be especially missed was the weekly What's On and its daily list of events, performances and shows.
So, in response here's a hastily concocted trial of goodies taking place around Manawatū Thursday to Wednesday January 17 - 23.
It is not a booking site, just an overview and handy reference that can work alongside complementary sites such as eventfinda and other official theatre and event booking outlets.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
