Damaged ramp onto Whale Cove Beach

Hi Neighbours,
Stuff has been alerted to a damaged ramp onto Whale Cove Beach, near Red Beach. The initial damage occurred in January and was minor, however it has been left to deteriorate further to where it is unlikely to be a simple fix.
Are you a regular user of Whale Cove Beach? We are keen to hear whether you think Auckland Council should repair or replace the ramp. You can comment here or email caroline.williams@stuff.co.nz with your thoughts.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
