NZ Post Shop Barrington Mall
Early July,I bought a Size 2 Mailbag from above shop for $5.50. It was too small as it turned out.So,yesterday,"Black Friday" went back to said shop,found a No4 Mailbag for $7.00,correct size,placed the goods in it unaddressed for the moment,went to the counter,asked could I exchange this small bag for this larger bag. Ah,NO! We dont do that here. I asked why not? No answer.So,I thought,Im going to get nowhere here and paid the $7.00.THEN,the Post Staff Member serving me proceeded to seal the bag up,WITHOUT ASKING ME FIRST!! I said why did you do that?? She ASSUMED I was done with it and ready to post it?? IT WASNT EVEN ADDRESSED AT THIS TIME!! I was never asked if I wanted a Receipt and I always do get one for business purposes and was never asked if I wanted it Track or Traced!!! Now,thats the service that sucks!! Yes I was pretty pissed off about how I was treated and I mentioned a couple of "terse" words to her as well.Funny how the Manager/Supervisor was just close by and could have sorted it out.But ,No that didnt happen. I have since made relevant contact with Post about this and await an outcome! Funny how they dont want me back near their shop anymore.They obviously cant handle tricky situations.
AND...there is no sign on the wall that states they will not exchange goods either.So,how can Post get away with this? It was only a simple exchange on a perfectly good saleable post bag?? Go figure.
