Invitation to the Opening of a Double Exhibition - Sat 2 - 5pm.

Alfred Memelink Artspace Gallery

You're invited to the opening of a double exhibition, this Saturday afternoon, 5th May,

The two exhibitions are :- The Art of Sarah Albisser & Paul Gadsby - Political Bird Paintings

You're welcome to join us anytime between 2 and 5pm to celebrate the opening of this new exhibition and meet the wonderful artists. Coffee/tea and other refreshments provided and enjoy the ambience of accomplished jazz pianist Bill Wollerman and friends.

'Apocalypse Now' Oil on Board by Paul Gadsby from his political bird series. This painting raises the issue of whether there should be a ban of aerial use of 1080 poison to prevent more kea deaths. Given the birds relatively high extinction risk, the use of 1080 poison is likely to accelerate the demise of the kea before the end of this century. The current number of kea is less than 1,000.

Stamps wanted

Marty from Johnsonville

I run a Stamp club at Tawa School to encourage children to collect stamps and learn about countries, history and more. Unfortunately new stamps aren't often seen these days as it's all electronic! If you have any stamps or old collections sitting around, let me know and I'll come and get them.
