Petrol tax
I cannot help wondering what happened to all the money collected from the tax that was loaded on petrol in the 90's and never removed surely it makes better sense to put the cost of roading etc on the source adding $3000 tax on each of the 350,000 cars imported each year certainly would not have the collection cost

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
