Eaves Bush
Friends of Eaves Bush's recent workday focused on installing identification and information signs at the bases of various trees around the park. A hole had to be dug for each sign( a bit tricky in places due to the profusion of tree roots exactly where the signs need to be placed.) The poles were then concreted in. Feedback was almost immediate with bush walkers commented on how they appreciated the information on the signs.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
