Kids playground

Yael from Southgate

Hi there
Is anyone else keen to see if there's a way to create a safe small kids playground in the area? Being up on the hill with toddlers and no easy safe playground nearby is a shame... the one at the top of Sinclair park is pretty derelict, and steep to get to with several kids, I was thinking something like the super cute fully fenced little park in Berhampores Jaypore st.
Thought a great spot for this could be the flat lawn next to the car park for Southgate park (Southgate rd)

Would anyone know how or be keen to help initiate something like this?

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
