Affordable and Local Music Lessons - Piano or Guitar

Adam from Music Tuition Studio

My name is Adam Whybro and I'm the owner of Music Tuition Studio in Torbay. I've been studying and playing piano and/or guitar for about 17 years, have been teaching both for over 3 years, am in a professional pop/rock band with multiple album releases and radio airplay.

I regularly write, produce and record music and in addition to being owner and head tutor of Music Tuition Studio, I'm currently studying a Diploma in Music Production at SAE in Parnell.

Although we're reasonably busy most days, we will still have a few half hour slots available for children, teenagers or adult students for either piano or guitar. We always work hard to give great value within our lessons and have gained a great reputation with our students over many years.

Lessons are more affordable than most/all others on Nth Shore at only $25 per half hour - with first lesson FREE for new students. For enquiries - go to our Facebook or website (as below), or email me at: bookings@musictuitionstudio.co.nz

We look forward to hearing from you soon. Regards. Adam

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
