Poll: Wearable Arts Competition

If you like wearable art and would like to enter a local competition, consider entering Art Couture NZ's first ever competition on 12 October 2017. It will be held at The Vineyard, @ Rossendale, Tai Tapu. There are 4 categories for adults: Open, Here We Go Again - recycled materials in a design inspired by a particular era, Hardware - using materials available in a hardware store and the Sow's Ear - you design a garment using the materials provided one month prior to the competition, and one category for students - Into The Future.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
