Pinocchio
Italy, 2019, Comedy/Drama
110 mins, Rated PG 13
Cast: Roberto Benigni

Roberto Benigni (Life is Beautiful) plays Geppetto, a woodcarver who creates a puppet but then something magical happens. The puppet can talk, run and eat like any young boy. Geppetto calls him Pinocchio and raises him as his own son.

But Pinocchio is easily led astray and finds it hard to always be good. So he repeatedly finds himself in trouble as he is tricked, kidnapped and chased by bandits. All the while, his guardian, the fairy tries to convince Pinocchio that he'll never realise his dream of becoming a real boy until he changes his ways for good. But first, he has a really big fish to deal with.

With ground breaking live action set against a backdrop of stunning Italian locations, Pinocchio brings alive a world of true mystery and wonder.

The most convincing, funny and touching live-action screen adaptation of Carlo Collodi’s remarkable children’s tale yet. - Screen International

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
