Tena koutou katoa, greetings everyone The Whangarei Hatea Lions Club, commonly known as Hatea Lions, was chartered in 2007. It maintains a mixed gender membership of around 20 with a majority of women and includes some couples. Our club is a Registered Charity, registration number CC26569. We are a dedicated group of people helping our community while at the same time enjoying the fun and fellowship our membership provides. Even though we are a relatively small club we annually exceed well over 1,000 hours of community service in an excess of 60 service activities. From visiting elderly and lonely people, or hosting them to an afternoon tea, being a carpark ambassador at a local tourist destination, helping community organisations and groups, these are some examples of how we help.
