The film night for Thursday 23rd October for WFS will be in the Capitaine Bougainville Theatre at Forum North, 7 Rust Ave Whangarei.

At 6pm, WFS will screen the French comedy, A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA.

Our 8pm screening is the powerful documentary about Lisa Blair's attempt to sail solo around Antarctica, ICE MAIDEN .

A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA
France, Comedy (subtitles) 2024
98 mins, Rated M
Cast: Artus, Clovis Cornillac, Alice Belaïdi, Marc Riso, Celine Groussard
Director: Artus

Following a jewel heist, two criminals, Lucien and Paulo are on the run when opportunity knocks – they are mistakenly escorted onto a bus going to a summer camp in the French countryside for young adults with disabilities.

To avoid detection, Paulo assumes the role of an intellectually disabled camper with his father, Lucien acting as his "caregiver".

But slowly, Lucien and Paulo warm to their situation and learn there’s more to life than a quick score. It is a story that perfectly mixes humour and drama as it highlights the life and daily challenges of people with disabilities.

"This film has stormed the French box office. It’s not only the biggest hit so far this year, it's also the highest grossing French movie since the 2020 pandemic." - Variety

Showing at Forum North, 7 Rust Ave Whangarei on Thursday, 23rd October at 6pm and Thursday, 30th October at 8pm

Was in this house when I moved in but is too big for me and I don't like gas. It has a gas connector and 3 pin plug with a large bottom pin as shown in the photos. I have spent hours cleaning it but it still has some gringe in hard to reach places. You must pick-up from Opuawhanga. Please make an offer!!
