Rubbish collection continues - and we have new bags!

Online Content Publisher from Whangarei District Council

Our Kerbside rubbish and recycling collections continue as usual. Pictured here are our new official blue rubbish bags, though the old grey ones will be collected just the same!

Please put your rubbish out early, i.e. before 7am, as we are managing start times to reduce risk and help the crews get collection runs finished before dark.

Please also double-bag potentially hazardous rubbish like tissues to protect collectors from spreading germs.

World Smoke Free Day

Natasha Judd from Cancer Society Northland

There are no restrictions on where smokes are sold, even though they kill two-thirds of people who smoke and are R18 products. Should smokes only be sold in R18 specialist tobacco shops?
