Pet free to a mighty home?

William from Arkles Bay

My 10 year old grandaughter has just lost her little 4 year old puppy! She was hit by a car on Monday and killed ,and our darling grandaughter is having difficulty coming to terms with her loss. i am her Poppa and have taken it on my self to try to find a replacement. The little girl she lost was so neat, she slept on Aleisha,s bed, licked her face and woke her up every morning, and was just part of the family! She was a small dog, a Maultese Terrier crossed with a Poppodom poodle. Aleisha has a 8 year old brother and a 6 year old sister so the replacement would become part of a lovely family in a new home in Matakatia Bay!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
