Tragic Death of a dog run over by car in Manly

Chris from Matakatia - Tindalls Beach

It has been a very very sad night for our family. Last night in Rawhiti Road by the Manly Shops my uncle and auntie had to witness their dog being run over. The guy was speeding even over the speed bumps and killed their dog, their dog was in pieces all over the road. My uncle was screaming and the guy stopped and then gave my uncle the finger. How disgusting is this person. We want to thank all the neighbours that came out to assist picking up all of the scattered dogs remains. Did anyone manage to get a description of the car. I don't know if my uncle and auntie are ever going to get over this as you can imagine the image that keeps going around and around in their heads. They are elderly and this has physically taken a toll on them also. Thank you again to all those kind people. The grief is unbearable

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
