Our new opportunity shop has opened in Birkenhead!

Hi Neighbours. We have opened a Memory Shop at 84 Mokoia Road in Birkenhead selling a wide range of quality second-hand items, including furniture. Come on in and grab a bargain with fabulous opening specials including 50% off all books, 30% off all clothing (excluding accessories and footwear) and 20% off all electrical goods.

* If you’re having a clean out please donate your unwanted items to us.
* We’ll soon have a small truck so can collect. Call us on 09 488 9956 to arrange.
* Have some spare time? Volunteers always welcome.

Come in and meet our friendly staff John and Brendon and help us support people affected by dementia to live well.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
