Champers where are you?????

Linda from Stanmore Bay

Our lovely cat Champers has never returned home after doing a runner in Jan 2016 two days after we moved to Stanmore Bay. As winter closes in I can't help but worry about him and where he may be. I am hoping that he has been adopted by a loving family the same way he was by us 4 years ago in Glenfield when he turned up at our house but desperately want to know what has become of him.
If he has found a new home, we would be so very happy for him to stay there if he is healthy, happy and loved.
So please take a look at his picture and let me know if you think he may have been adopted by your neighbour or if you have seen him looking for food or shelter in your area or maybe he has joined your family.
He has a distinctive damaged right ear which is about a third smaller than the other due to cat fight damage. (The photo shows his ear before this happened)
Was lost from Duncansby Rd but could be anywhere on the coast by now given the distance cats can travel.
Really hope someone will recognise him and we will get to see him again.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
