North Auckland house fire: Man with 'heart of gold' dies with dog Buddy
Hi neighbours, a man who died in a house fire at the weekend will be remembered for having a hard exterior but the soul of an artist.
Terrence William Riley, 73, died on Saturday evening when a fire engulfed his family home in flames on Birdsall Rd in north Auckland's Whangateau.
His 6-year-old fox terrier, Buddy, died with him.
