Wellington Water is responding to a wastewater overflow near Days Bay and York Bay.
We advise No swimming, water activities, and collection of kai moana for at least the next 72 hours along the Eastbourne foreshore.
There is currently no impact on traffic, and we do not anticipate any problems or delays for peak hour commuters. Pedestrians are being guided away from the site.
We apologise for any inconvenience. Our crews are committed to working as quickly and effectively as possible to restore service.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
