Kererū are returning to the region in large numbers but unfortunately those who look after injured birds are seeing them in increasing numbers.
For nearly twenty years, the Wellington Bird Rehabilitation Trust (WBRT) has been operating a rehabilitation hospital located in rural Ohariu, near Johnsonville. Run by Craig Shepherd, the centre is mostly self-funded with help from volunteers, donors and the community.

Kia ora neighbors!
We are now booking all of our winter interior painting projects. We highly recommend, if this is something you have in mind, to book before the winter starts so you can get all the benefits of having a nice dry freshly painted house before the cold days start.
Get in touch with us for a free quote and we are happy to pop by and have a chat.
Have a nice long weekend!
There are no dues or fees for joining AEA or attending AEA meetings. We are self-supporting through our own voluntary contributions. At some point during each meeting we pass the basket to help cover expenses, such as the cost of rent and literature. Members are not obliged to contribute, but we usually do so to the extent we are able. For more FAQs
