Covid is a reminder of just how much we rely on health professionals. One of those health professionals is Wellington Free Ambulance. We are lucky to have a free ambulance service and over the next few weeks it is likely to be under more pressure than normal. There are 500,000 people in the region and if 85,.000 text ONESIE to 3181 to donate $3, that would be an incredible $255,000, the cost of a new ambulance. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
