The Team from Wellington Water

From today, Friday 26 March, the Total Outdoor Water Ban will be eased in Featherston and Greytown.
Thanks to the response from the community, the two towns are now in a space to move down restriction level and can water gardens using handheld methods. Well done, thanks for your action ๐Ÿ‘

This is a good position to be in, but itโ€™s important that people keep being responsible with water usage. ๐Ÿ’™

This restriction allows for the use of handheld watering methods, between the hours of 6-8 am and 7-9pm only on alternate days according to your house number.

๐Ÿ‘‰ odd-numbered houses on odd dates (1st, 3rd, 15th etc)
๐Ÿ‘‰ even-numbered houses on even dates (2nd, 4th, 18th etc)

Leaks in our system can be an issue, so please check your water meter.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens arenโ€™t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days โ€” the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, whoโ€™s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.

This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.

We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantlyโ€ฆ would you get involved? ๐Ÿ’š

Want the details? The Post has you covered.
