Diabetes Wellington - Education Class for Type 2 Diabetes
Venue: Salvation Army Upper Hutt, 695 Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt.

This one hour talk on self-management is suitable for people who have had Type 2 diabetes for some time and would like a refresher and to be updated on the latest information on how to manage their condition. It is also suitable for people who are newly diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. It will cover topics such as; Latest research and medication available to treat Type 2 diabetes. The latest research and advice on exercise and testing. The difference between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. This will be done in a friendly supportive environment with a nurse educator from the Hutt Valley DHB. Cost: $5 for members and $10 for non members. All welcome! Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
