Water outage for two hours tonight: 9.30pm - 11.30pm

Our crew will be repairing a leaking fire hydrant on the corner of Miromiro Road and Hunts Close this evening (28/10) and unfortunately we need to shut off the water supply for approximately 2 hours from 9.30pm to 11.30pm and this will impact a number of properties.

Water will be off for all properties on:
• Mulbery Street
• Hibiscus Grove
• Chestnut Grove
• Jacaranda Grove
• Hunts Close
• Miromiro Road.
(as per the red lines in the diagram)

Low pressure is likely to be experiences in:
• Holly Grove
• Roan Street
• Cedar Street
• Barberry Grove
• Lilac Lane
• Maple Grove
• Bushey Way
• Walnut Way
• Magnolia Grove
• Dowse Drive up to the intersection with Holly Grove.

We are very sorry about this inconvenience. Please fill up your kettles, containers, baths etc, prior to the expected shutdown time.

We aim to have service restored as soon as possible.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
