With summer now in full swing, we've paused planting in the historic core area until we're back in the cooler weather of autumn. Still lots to keep us busy in preparation!
In the meantime, if you have some space in the corner of your garden or greenhouse to propagate some plants, or sow some perennial seeds, we would be most grateful to receive these from next March onwards and throughout the autumn.
If you have any questions about what plants to grow, please feel free to email us at:

Shopping has become such a big part of our everyday lives, and the choices we make can influence more than we realise.

If you’d like to make those dollars work harder for our local communities, consider choosing small. Households spend more than $110 billion with big businesses each year. Shifting a portion of that toward small, local retailers can make a huge difference for the wider small-business economy.

I wasn’t an overweight child, but from as young as 5 years I can recall comparing myself unfavourably with two painfully thin twins in my dance class and thinking that was what I was supposed to look like.

I’m not sure how I got the idea that I should be very thin. My mum was often on a diet and always wanted to be thinner, so maybe that shaped my thinking that thin was good. I remember at high school being mortified that every year I put on more weight.

Times are tough. Amidst the turmoil of a changing world, solo mother, Amanda Wingfield, a faded Southern belle, is hellbent on finding a better future for her emotionally fragile daughter, Laura, while her restless son, Tom, is caught between his duty to his family and his desire for freedom.

Deftly blending humour and pathos and suffused with the eloquent poetic language that became Tennessee Williams’ trademark, The GLASS MENAGERIE is an achingly beautiful study of four people struggling to conform to the expectation of others.
