Anyone know of e-bikes that can handle Wadestown hill?

Hi. I’m looking to take the plunge on an e bike but not keen to spend huge money.
I’ve heard the mid drive is best for hills but they’re also expensive.
Does anyone have experience with geared hub drives?
Any advice welcome
