Food Bank Running Low
The Vinnies food bank is running low on a few key items:
🥫 Tinned fruits
🥫 Tinned tomatoes
🥫 Tinned vegetables
🥫 Tinned soup
🥫 Instant pasts meals
🥫 Cooking oil – 500ml bottles
🥫 Female sanitary pads
🥫 Deodorant
🥫 Shampoo and Conditioner
🥫 Dishwashing liquid and cloths/ sponges
If you can spare an item or two in your next shop, or have unwanted items in your pantry, please think about donating them to the Vinnies Food Bank.
Items can be dropped directly to the Vinnies Welfare & Support hub in Newtown or to any of the Vinnies Op Shops in Wellington.
💙 Did you know we run the food bank by a choice-based model? This means people accessing food support choose the food they want and need in their parcels.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
