Dixon Street Deli closes after nearly 100 years
The delicatessen was a "complete Wellington institution", run by three generations of the Chait family at the same location. It was originally a poultry shop before it became a deli in the 70s, and one of your city councillors can even remember visiting the shop as a child to buy fresh chicken (a bit of a luxury back then). I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
