Longbush Cottage Tulip Festival - this weekend
Longbush Cottage Tulip Festival celebrates the majestic tulip and the return of spring each year. This year the festival is held this Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October .
Thousands of tulips have been planted throughout the garden (7000 bulbs were planted in 2023 alone) with many varieties naturalised to return year after year. It's simply stunning! The garden is just 15 minutes from Martinborough or Carterton. Entry is just $10 at the gate and there are tulips in pots for sale.

FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles
Merry Christmas -
I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.
Best wishes - Michael
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
