Find out how your old glasses can be good as new

Steph Hill from Foureyes Foundation

This June, you can put your old glasses to good use. We're collecting donations of good quality used glasses, reading/hobby glasses, and sunglasses to take to Fiji. Wellington optometrist Ravi Dass will be joining a team of optometrists and other medical professionals volunteering their time to help around 2,000 people to see more clearly. We're working with a number of Wellington businesses and schools, and will keep you posted on public collection points as well.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
