This weekend you can discover Rita Angus, a NZ art icon at Aratoi Museum of Art and History.
Rita Angus: New Zealand Modernist | He Ringatoi Hou o Aotearoa exhibition is on now, bringing together 20 pieces spanning Rita Angus's career as an artist. Pacifism, feminism and nature are themes which are drawn on and shaped so much of her work.
Showing until 26 November, Tuesday - Sunday 10am-4pm at Aratoi Museum of Art and History., Masterton.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
