Marsden Primary Orchestra
An exciting moment for our young Marsden musicians when the Year 3 and Year 4 string classes joined our current orchestra to create the new Marsden Primary Orchestra – they will play together for the rest of the year. Hard work, resilience and teamwork were some of the many characteristics on show for the 1st rehearsal this week.

Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.
This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
