Island Bay Festival 2019
Next year, we are doing things a bit different, we’re packing some of our regular events in to one family focused fun weekend. The Ribble st Races, Parade and Variety show will happen on Saturday 9 February, and the Day in the Bay is set for Sunday 10 February.
Plans for the weekend are shaping up nicely, and we are really looking forward to it!
It is also a great opportunity for local organisations and community groups to showcase what they do and what Island Bay is about by getting involved on the weekend holding an activity or information stall, or by hosting an event during the week. If this is something your organisation or group is interested in doing, get in touch with us by email to ibfwebsite@gmail.com, we'd love to hear from you!
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and looking forward to seeing you at the Island Bay Festival in the New Year!

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
Now available for work over the holidays!
Hi Neighbourly,
I am now open to taking on jobs over the Christmas and New Years period!
There's no job too small - If you need that work done, now is the time to get in touch.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Ciaran.
