Hi everyone, I now have seven artisans and painters interested in joining 'The Art Shop', (Wellington artists' collective). If you create high quality objects or paintings and would like to be a part of an organization that takes as little money from your sale price as possible consider sending me images of your work. All artists will be asked to contribute $20pw towards the rent and do a few hours in the shop each fortnight (if possible). If work is unsuitable it won't be criticised but politely declined. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
