Looking for a road bike to borrow for a student team doing the 2021 Coast to Coast

Arthur from Breaker Bay

Hi everyone,

I live in Breaker Bay. For the past two years I have mentored Coast to Coast multisport teams from Aotea College in Porirua. The teams of three enthusiastic students will cycle, mountain run and kayak from the West Coast of the South Island to the East Coast, over two very strenuous days in February 2021. We have two teams getting ready for 2021’s C2C, and we are on the lookout to borrow a girl’s road cycle, for our girls’ team. So, if you have a girl’s road cycle (ideally, plus cleated shoes and a helmet :) ) that you’re happy to lend to our girls’ team, that would be just fantastic … we’re happy to pick it up from wherever and we’ll return it after Coast to Coast, in February 2021.

Email me on arthur.tompkins@gmail.com if you can help!

Cheers,
Arthur Tompkins.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
